6th Annual "Fill The Ark" 5K Run

The East Mill Creek Community Council is sponsoring this 6th Annual 5K Race as a neighborhood family event, to raise funds for Heifer International.

Heifer International supplies farm animals, training & education opportunities to needy people in villages around the world. To send an “ARK” full of animals to a village that will sustain life $5,000 needs to be raised. These funds also help build small business enterprises and teach self-reliance to the people. Last year we sent off one Ark and this year our goal is to send at least two.

Join us for good excercise, a good cause and of course, lots of fun. In addition to the race, participants will enjoy:

T-shirts for participants
Refreshments

The 5K Race begins and ends at the north end of Wasatch Jr High School ball field (3103 E. Craig Drive) and the route wanders through the neighborhoods of East Mill Creek. Businesses and Individuals are encouraged to “sponsor” the race (details below).

Registration:

Preregistration: $15 per person (includes t-shirt) at Runnercard.com. The preregistration deadline is 5:00 p.m. June 12th.
Day of Race Registration: $20 per person (includes t-shirt). Register at the race site. Day of race registration closes at 7:30 a.m.
1-mile Run/Walk: $10 per person (includes t-shirt). Non-competative.

Sponsorships:
Sponsors of $250+ will have their names displayed on the back of the Fill the Ark t-shirt. The deadline for sponsorships is June 1st, 2008. If you are interested please contact Mark Olsen (801) 641-2100 or complete the online sponsorship form.
